Game ON: Esports  

Our Game ON: Esports, held at Milan Middle School, was a week of competitive fun and learning! The camp featured a thrilling tournament-style challenge in the game Steal the Wool in Minecraft, with students divided into four teams battling it out for victory. But the excitement didn't stop there. Participants also took on various skill challenges, like crafting paper airplanes to see whose could fly the furthest and constructing the sturdiest structures capable of holding up a paper cup using only a few household supplies. Students honed essential communication, strategy, and teamwork skills through these activities, making it an unforgettable and educational experience for all involved. Career Exploration Camps

Our Career Exploration Camps took place at the Southeastern Career Center and were filled with excitement and hands-on learning during the week of June 17th. Participants engaged in various immersive experiences, including "Rev It Up: Automotive & Diesel Camp," "Camp Construction Junction," and "Gourmet & Glamour: Culinary & Cosmetology Camp." They also explored critical roles in public safety at "In the Line of Duty: Public Safety Camp," delved into the world of animals and farming at "Critters & Crops: Veterinary Science & Agriculture Camp," and got tech-savvy at "Bits & Bytes Digital Discovery Camp." "Metal Masters Camp" and "Health Heroes Camp" rounded out the week with thrilling insights into metallurgy and healthcare. Watch for our blog post for all the fun details and stories!

Photography in Nature Camp and Art Show

The first week of June was a picture-perfect time for our Photography in Nature Camp at Versailles State Park! Participants dove into the world of professional photography, learning to use top-grade cameras and editing software like Photoshop to capture the best shots possible. Carson Hughes, a high school senior passionate about nature photography, left a lasting legacy through Carson Hughes Photography, proudly sponsored the camp and inspiring future photographers.  The camp culminated in an exciting art show on June 19 at the Nature Center in Versailles State Park, where students proudly displayed their work during an open house event. Their professionally printed and mounted, with the help of Brush and Palette Frame Shop,  stunning photos showcased their newfound skills and creative perspectives, making it a memorable experience for all involved.
