Genesis: Pathways to Success is inviting local businesses and colleges to participate in the first annual Career Exploration Expo, aimed at influencing the career pathways of our local students. Ripley County’s juniors and seniors will embark on a journey by experiencing various hands-on learning opportunities, provided by employers/colleges, to delve into diverse career options.

Step into the world of wacky machines and challenge your creativity, innovation, and engineering by registering today for the 2024 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest. Registration is open until January 2, 2024, and the cost to compete is $150 per team.

How Did You Celebrate National STEM Day?

November 8th was National STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math) Day, and we celebrated this holiday by participating in a fun STEM activity: Penny Boat Challenge. Genesis staff built a boat out of aluminum foil to see how many pennies it could hold before it sank. The boat with the most pennies won!

Our STEM-minded Amelia β€œsank” her opponent’s ships as hers held a total of 26 pennies! We challenge you to test your STEM skills and see how well your makeshift boat floats!
