Congratulations to This Year’s Regional Maverick Challenge Winner

On Wednesday, December 14th, Oldenburg Academy hosted the Maverick Challenge, a business planning competition that encourages high school students to develop and pitch their newly invented product or service. A total of 5 teams from Jac-Cen-Del High School and Oldenburg Academy participated in this year’s competition.

Congratulations to Oldenburg Academy’s Luke Meyer and Matthew Miller for winning the regional competition and advancing to Finals in Columbus, Indiana!
 

Flashback Friday: Kids Building Bikes October Alumni Ride

In October, we held an Alumni Ride for graduates of the Kids Building Bikes program! This presented the opportunity for past students to meet other graduates and reconnect with their coaches from Nine13sports. Bikers rode from the Versailles Courthouse Square to the Versailles State Park and back.

Thank you, Nine13sports, for offering this opportunity to our students, and special thanks to the Southeast Indiana Mountain Bike Association (SIMBA) for exposing students to the mountain biking trails within the park.

Registration for the Rube Goldberg Machine Contest Ends December 30th

The 2023 Rube Goldberg Machine Contest will challenge students with the task to Build a Lunchables! This year’s contest will be held on Saturday, March 4th at Jac-Cen-Del Elementary School.

Teams have until December 30, 2022, to register for this year’s contest. Team registration will be complete upon receipt of a $150.00 registration fee.
