We would like to welcome Callie Main to our team as the Executive Assistant! In this position, Callie will channel her organizational and planning skills to streamline administrative processes.

Contraptions Were In Mint Condition to Put Toothpaste On A Toothbrush

In February, we held the 13th annual, regional Rube Goldberg Machine Contest with the theme of, “Putting Toothpaste on a Toothbrush!” Every team in participation impressed us with their creativity and ability to turn a simple task into a complicated contraption.

Students Skyrocket Into Space Exploration

Recently, Ripley County's 6th grade students had the opportunity to explore the wonders of our solar system through Drake Planetarium’s portable planetarium experience at the Batesville Memorial Public Library.

While students are learning about solar eclipses in the classroom, the portable planetarium allowed students to make real-world connections by “experiencing” a solar eclipse. Now, Ripley County’s sixth-grade students will be equipped with the knowledge and expertise to safely view the solar eclipse occurring on April 8th.

Through this experience, over 409 students were served, fostering a new curiosity for our solar system. Thank you to The Joan and John W. Hillenbrand VISION Fund for Innovation for allowing students to dive deep into the mysteries of space and spark their curiosity to become future scientists!
