Career Exploration Expo: The Passport to Your Future

On Monday, September 8th, Genesis will be hosting Career Exploration Expo at Batesville High School! Ripley County’s juniors and seniors will embark on a journey by experiencing various hands-on learning opportunities, provided by employers/colleges, to delve into diverse career options. The last day to register is Friday, August 15th!

Save The Date: Entrepreneurial Programs

D.I.C.E Challenge-Student Competition

On Friday, December 5th, Genesis will be hosting D.I.C.E Challenge-Student Competition! The regional competition will task high school students with creating a business product or service, developing a business plan, and pitching their ideas to a panel of seasoned entrepreneurs.

Emerge: Young Innovators Summit

On Wednesday, November 5th, Genesis will be hosting Emerge: Young Innovators Summit at the Lawrenceburg Event Center This event is designed to empower local high school students with insights from our community’s seasoned entrepreneurs, strengthening their business acumen and igniting their entrepreneurial spirit.

Thank You For a Successful Summer!!

A Summer of STREAM ended with 24 hands-on and fun-filled STREAM camps and activities that appealed to various passions and interests of students! This summer provided experiential learning opportunities that impacted 1,031 attendees and created a STREAM atmosphere that is innovative, challenging, and fun for students!

Through the worlds of Harry Potter, woodworking, aviation, and more, students were introduced to experiences that built upon their soft skills, such as perseverance, self-confidence, collaboration, and critical thinking skills. We are already looking forward to A Summer of STREAM 2026!

SEI Robotics Registration Is Now Open!

High school students are now able to register for SEI Robotics! If you want to learn robotics technology, gain experience in building and programming robots, and compete in robotics competitions, this is the perfect opportunity! Practices times and dates are to be determined. The cost to join is $75 and will cover competition expenses. The registration deadline is Friday, August 29th.

A Farewell to Our Summer Interns

As summer winds down, we send off our 2025 Summer Interns: Kloie, Kate, Abe, and Mya. Kloie, Kate, and Abe all served as Program Development Interns. Abe spent time planning A Summer of STREAM camps while Kate and Kloie did behind-the-scenes work! Mya served as the Marketing Intern, where she distributed press releases, blog posts, and social media posts.

Although we are sad to see them go, we know they will accomplish great things! Kloie will continue her education with the Disney College Program in Florida. Abe will spend a semester studying abroad in Germany. Kate will continue her education at Indiana University Indianapolis where she’s studying Dental Hygiene. Mya will continue her internship with Genesis remotely as she studies at Indiana Wesleyan University.
