Kids Building Bikes
Pedaling towards
a healthier future.
For the past four years, Genesis: Pathways to Success has proudly partnered with Nine13sports to bring the Kids Riding Bikes program to middle schools across Ripley County.
This innovative program combines physical activity, technology, and education to inspire students to embrace the benefits of exercise and healthy living.
Through an interactive indoor bicycling simulator, students pedal their way through a gamified experience, tracking real-time statistics like speed, power output, distance, and time. Along the way, they learn valuable lessons about the role nutrition plays in fueling their bodies and the importance of proper preparation and recovery when exercising.
In 2024, over 900 students from six local schools participated in the program, including Batesville Middle School, Jac-Cen-Del Jr./Sr. High School, Milan Middle School, South Ripley Junior High School, St. Louis Catholic School, and St. Nicholas Catholic School. Students like Lily and Abbie shared their enthusiasm for the program, describing it as “a fun way to stay active” and a great way to “wake up and boost energy for the day.”
We look forward to welcoming Kids Riding Bikes back in Spring 2025, continuing to promote physical fitness, healthy habits, and lots of smiles!
