We’re thrilled to kick off our Masterclass Program with the Script to Screen: Filmmaking Masterclasses, a three-part series designed for aspiring filmmakers of all experience levels. Taught by accomplished local filmmakers, these 10 hours of classes will guide you through every step of filmmaking—from concept to final cut. Get ready to bring your creativity to life with hands-on guidance in pre-production, production, and post-production classes.

• Pre-Production: You'll focus on the critical pre-production phase, where you'll observe the process of developing ideas, writing a script, and planning every detail of a film. Through demonstrations and discussions, you'll learn how to create a script, develop a storyboard, and craft a production plan, all while seeing these elements come together in real-time. By the end of the day, you'll have a clear understanding of how to prepare for the production phase, with key insights into scriptwriting, storyboarding, and production planning.

• Production: You'll observe the production phase in action, learning how professional filmmakers set up shots, light scenes, and direct talent for maximum visual impact. Through live demonstrations, you'll see how industry-standard equipment is used to capture footage and bring the storyboard to life. Key topics covered include cinematography, lighting, directing, and camera operation, giving you valuable insights into the filmmaking process.

• Post-Production: You'll explore the post-production process, watching as raw footage is transformed into a polished, high-quality film through editing, sound design, and color grading. You'll see firsthand how a 1-minute promotional film is assembled, with expert demonstrations on editing techniques, sound editing, color correction, and final exporting. Key topics covered include the fundamentals of editing, sound design, color grading, and the steps involved in preparing a film for distribution.
